Witness appeal after woman is raped in Braywick Park

A witness appeal has been made by police after a 28-year-old woman was raped in Braywick Park in broad daylight yesterday.

The victim was walking in the park between about 4pm and 4.30pm yesterday. She talked to a man, who then raped her.

Former Berkshire Land Rover owners illegally claimed £86,000

The former owners of a Maidenhead-based motor dealership have been sentenced for illegally claiming £86,000 in VAT repayment.

Charles Mogford, 53, and Julia Smith, 51, are former company directors of Auto Exporters UK Limited, which traded as Berkshire Land Rover until July 2014.

Man jailed for nine years for child sex attacks

A 41-year-old man from Maidenhead has been sentenced to nine years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child.

Anthony Bharji, of Ellington Park, was convicted of two counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration, three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, one count of attempted voyeurism and one count of making an indecent photograph of a child.

Two men rob bingo hall armed with gun and ‘sword’

Police are hunting two men who stole cash from a bingo hall in Slough armed with a gun and what was thought to be a sword or a baton.  

The pair entered Gala Bingo in Bath Road as it was closing at about 9.10pm on Tuesday and demanded money from the reception before emptying the cash tray into a bag.

Re-appeal for information following child sexual assault at Legoland

The E-Fit of a man who sexually assaulted two girls at Legoland Windsor has been re-released by the police.

Two six-year-old girls were touched inappropriately at Castaway Camp in the Pirate Shores area at the resort in Winkfield Road between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Thursday, August 11.
