Teams are being sought to take part in this year’s Advertiser Charity Challenge, which raises money for the newspaper’s annual Cracker Appeal.
The event, run in partnership with the Magnet Leisure Centre, will take place at SportsAble in Braywick Park on the evening of Thursday, June 30, from 6pm.
Teams of six to eight people are needed to compete against each other in a number of 15-minute events including rounders, five-a-side football and volleyball.
The overall winners will be crowned the 2016 Charity Challenge Champions.
The cost to enter is £100 per team, every penny of which goes to the appeal which supports the elderly and children in our community.
There will also be a post-challenge barbecue available and a subsidised bar.
Event organiser Louisa Mace said: “As well as being fantastic fun, the Advertiser Charity Challenge is a great team-building and bonding opportunity.
“We are calling on local businesses and organisations to grab the chance to boost staff morale and have a great time by entering teams.”
A fundraising raffle is also to be held and organisers are appealing for donations of prizes.
