Marlow has an historic bridge that is a symbol of its twinning with the Budavar district of Budapest. The Hungarian capital has a bridge of the same design as that of Marlow's.


Higginson Park in Marlow is one of the town’s most popular destinations, and it is used to host many popular community events, including Marlow Town Regatta and Marlow Carnival.

Marlow has much to offer the sports enthusiast. Adjacent to the park is the Court Garden leisure complex which has meeting rooms, and a wide variety of sports facilities, including a swimming pool.

The Marlow area also boasts a number of local beautiful churches including All Saints CE, Christ Church URC, Methodist Church, St Peter's RC and St John the Baptist in Little Marlow.

Its number of independently owned shops and restaurants make Marlow an attractive shopping destination as well as a place to buy a house. There are some popular eateries in Marlow. Marlow also has two supermarkets.


Marlow has easy access to Maidenhead, High Wycombe and Henley. The A404 Marlow by-pass links the M4 and M40. There is a direct railway line to Bourne End, Cookham, Furze Platt and Maidenhead, which is on the main line to London Paddington.


Marlow is served by seven primary schools. Bucks has a selective education system and after an 11-plus exam pupils generally go to Sir William Borlase's Grammar School, Great Marlow School in Marlow or Wye Valley School in Bourne End. Pupils can also study at schools in High Wycombe or Maidenhead.
