Terry 'The Dominator' Brazier to hang up gloves after distinguished MMA career

Windsor MMA fighter Terry Brazier has announced he’s hanging up his gloves after a distinguished cage fighting career which brought him BAMMA championship titles and Bellator bouts.

In a Twitter post the former paratrooper said: “Today I hung up my gloves for the last time. I’m actually putting them in the loft. I’ve had the most amazing career which has taken me all over the world and I’ve met the most incredible people.

“I’ve won titles in double figures, I’ve won two world titles and I’ve fought on the biggest stages in the world, live on TV. I’ve headlined in Wembley and the York Hall and have loved every second of my MMA journey.

“Now it’s time for another chapter. It’s been emotional.”

Brazier’s final fight for the Bellator promotion came in Paris last year, but it didn’t go the distance.

Frenchman Yves Landu knocked him out cold with a flying knee in the opening minutes of the first round.

Brazier suffered three defeats and one victory fighting on the Bellator bill these past few years, but his overall career record is a good one, with 11 wins and only four defeats.

The former paratrooper has also spoken openly of his battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after serving his country in tours of Afghanistan.
