Wasps Rugby fans in Maidenhead are being given a helping hand with the launch of a new travel service to the Ricoh Arena – starting with a free journey offer.

The Aviva Premiership club are teaming up with coach company Zeelo to make it easier for those travelling to the Ricoh Arena from Maidenhead.

Zeelo uses its AI platform RINA to help local coach companies identify demand for new and popular routes, by scouring the web and to find any gaps in the existing transport network between sports fans and their home stadium.

Barney Williams, Co-founder at Zeelo, said: “Nothing beats the atmosphere of match day at the Ricoh Arena, and through our partnership with Wasps we will enable as many fans as possible to enjoy that experience, with the least hassle involved in getting to the stadium.”

The company is already helping fans of Premier League clubs to support their team and now Zeelo will officially launch its partnership with Wasps on Sunday, 4th February, when they take on Leicester Tigers at the Ricoh Arena in the Anglo-Welsh Cup (1pm kick-off).

Fans looking to travel from Maidenhead will be offered a free return journey from Maidenhead train station for the match as a gesture from Zeelo, which is hoping to expand its operation to take in more routes.

Current routes to the Ricoh Arena from Stratford-Upon-Avon, Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth are also being taken over by Zeelo.
