Maidenhead United Juniors u9s teams were in goal scoring form last weekend. Coach Dhiraj was thrilled with the u9s Galaxy side. His player of the match (POTM) went to Zain ‘who made crucial challenges and this week showed composure and great play-making, allowing the team to press forward’.

The u9s Whites played Cookham Dean in a close contest. Coach Byron reflected: “A great team performance. Players’ Player of the Match went to Finley for his strong running, passing and a belter of a free kick into the top corner. Manager’s POTM went to Alfie for his assured performance in goal and determination in defence.”

The u9s Blacks maintained their good start to the season away to Henley Hurricanes. A hard fought and deserved result, POTM went to Lachlan for his determination and hard work.

It was a good day for the u9s Juniors against Singh Sabha as coach Eduardo reports: “POTM goes to Pablo who was very present across the midfield supporting but also in producing strong transitions and very nice passes to this teammates.”

The u9s Braves (pictured) played away to Taplow in a competitive game which was played in the right spirit.

Goals came from Harry, who finished smartly before a neat pass from George released Arian who kept his nerve to score. Braves were rewarded when a pass came through to Adam who took a touch then drilled the ball into the net with the last kick of the match. POTM went to Arian who was everywhere on the pitch, fighting hard for his teammates.

Thames Valley Development League

There were plenty of goals in the three u11s matches played in the Thames Valley Development League this weekend. S4K Wolves claimed a 4-3 win over Singh Sabha and 4FuturePro were comfortable 6-2 winners over Burnham Junior Lynx White.

The final game saw the Cookham Dean Rebels and the FC Cippenham Panthers play out a 2-2 draw.

In the u12s Divisions there were mixed fortunes for the two Golden Eagles teams. In Division 1 the Eagles u12s raced into a 3-0 lead against Burnham Junior Sabres with goals from Malakai Morton, Eva-Mei Sheikilowa-Cardoso and Tudor Moraru and they held onto that advantage for a comfortable victory.

The Golden Eagles Flyers took the lead in their Division 3 match against Burnham Junior Sabres Whites thanks to Rijad Krasniqi’s goal. However, Burnham soon equalised and went on to win the match 3-1.

Elsewhere in Division 1 Slough Town Juniors claimed a convincing 8-2 win over Harefield United Youth while Townmead beat Thames Valley Youth 3-2 in the only other Division 2 match.

Frontline beat Maidenhead United Cobras 3-2 in Division 3 and FC Cippenham Leopards defeated Maidenhead Warriors 4-2 away.

Maidenhead B&G FC

There was a heavy defeat for Maidenhead B&G FC’s u18s Santos as they lost 10-3 at home to the Teddington Athletic Sharks in Division 3 at the weekend. The u17s boys played out a 3-3 draw away against the Teddington Athletic Hurricanes, while the u16s Cobras were 2-1 winners at home against Berkshire County Cobras in Division 4.

There was a narrow 3-2 away defeat for the u13s Dolphins at Berks Elite Black in Section C while in Section G the u13s Foxes were beaten 10-3 at home by the club’s u13s Panthers. The goalscorers were Senna Anagho (four), Rowan Sellman (three), Harry James (two) and Callum Neeson-Roberts (one). Senna was named player of the match.

Panthers manager Roland McGill reflected: “That was a fabulous team performance today. Lots of good passing, tackling, dribbling and of course shooting. Good goalie work too, including a top save from Eesa Sharif. Boys remained very positive and looked out for each other.”

The u12s Dragons moved top of Division 2 after a 6-0 win over AFC Whitchurch. The u12s Jaguars were 2-1 winners over Westwood Wanderers Colts and the u12s Girls won 2-0 away to Shinfield Rangers to move top of Division 1 with three wins and a draw. Molly Cann grabbed both goals.

The u13s Girls have also moved top in Division 1 after winning 2-1 away at Thatcham & Newbury Town Blues. Maddie Sturt and Lucy Coughtrey were on target.

Also sitting on top of their Division 1 are the u15s Girls after they beat AFC Reading Memphis Belles 7-3 at home. Their goalscorers were Becky Tinnelly (two), Sofia Lacey (two), Charlie Porter (two) and Emily McMaster.

Rachel Okoro and Jess Welch both scored five goals as the u18s Girls beat Maidenhead United Ravens 10-0 at home. It was also their first victory of the season.
